Google on Monday announced an upcoming change to the Android operating system that should make some applications more "usable" on Android Honeycomb tablets. In a post to the Android Developers Blog, Google explains that while many applications automatically resize themselves for the screens of larger tablet devices, there are still those that don't.
Although one of the big knocks on Android tablets has been their relative dearth of tablet-specific apps, that could be about to change. The button, which will be located on the app's system bar, will let users zoom in on the application to fill the entire screen.
Now instead of some apps going all wonky when they're brought up on a tablet-sized screen, Android has a new ability to choose between Stretch to fill screen and Zoom to fill screen.
