Rich people prefer blackberry!!

A new survey has proved what many people have been thinking for years now. According to the Prosper Mobile Insights report called “Simultaneously Media Usage Survey” – rich people prefer BlackBerry over the Apple iPhone.

The report interviewed 25,000 people, measuring technology choices against income levels. Among the wealthiest group of people who earned $150,000 and more, 11.3 percent of respondents owned a BlackBerry. This was compared to 10.9 percent who owned iPhones and 7.2 percent who owned Android smartphones.

The situation was pretty similar in the income group of $100,000 to $149,000, with 21.9 percent using BlackBerry, 19.1 percent using iPhones, and 15.8 percent using Android phones. It is not until you reach the middle class that Apple starts to take the lead, with the iPhone winning out in the upper middle class $75,000 to $99,000 group.

It is not BlackBerry or the iPhone that has the advantage in the middle income group however, with Android the preferred choice among 14.3 percent of those earning between $35,000 and $49,000.

While the Apple iPhone is starting to gain some ground in the professional market, it seems that blackberry is still more appealing to corporate users. One of the main reasons for this is the multitasking ability of BlackBerry devices, with professional users also less likely to be swayed by all the multi-media bells and whistles of Apple and Android phones.
